A.L.M.E.E.
ALMEE has dedicated its activities for more than 15 years to Energy Saving and Environment issues in order to achieving a Sustainable and Harmonious Development in Lebanon and in the Mediterranean region. ALMEE is particularly interested to the global environment issues (Kyoto and Montreal protocols). ALMEE worked on developing proposed mechanisms for green house gases emissions in several projects.
Green Hand
Green hand is an environmental, social, cultural, nongovernmental organization. Funded in 2001 and registered in 2003. Our slogan is "A Green Hand for all Lebanon".
Green Line
Green Line is a non-governmental association independent of any government, group, or individual. It embraces the principle of environmentally sound development in the developing world. Green Line brings together all those who are concerned with preserving the past, conserving the present, and giving the future a better chance.
Ibsar
Ibsar, Nature Conservation Center for Sustainable Futures, is an interfaculty center at AUB created in 2002 to promote nature conservation. The uniqueness of IBSAR is its strategic approach to nature conservation which is primarily based on defining and initiating nature-based economic opportunities that are competitive and sustainable.
Lebanese Solar Energy Society
LSES was established in 22nd of April 1980 in Beirut on the initiative of highly educated engineers and was comprised of solar energy company owners, chairmen of university engineering departments and electrical, mechanical, chemical engineers. LSES currently has around 30 members with a main target to promote the use of solar & renewable energy with consideration for the protection of the environment, energy saving, and the quality of life.
Lebanon green Building Council
The LGBC aims to become a leading non-profit organization working to promote the sustainable building industry of an international level. Its members will strongly advocate sustainable buildings in the aim of designing a built environment that allows future generations to benefit from the natural resources that will be available to them.
Mada
Mada is a non- partisan, non-sectarian Lebanese NGO which aims to reinforce the relationship between local communities and their natural environment for the satisfaction of their substantial needs.
