The Association for the Promotion and Exhibition of the Arts in Lebanon (APEAL) is a non-profit organization dedicated to showcasing and encouraging Lebanese artists by projecting their artwork beyond conventional borders and onto a larger screen. One of APEAL's goals is to create a common platform and magnet for creativity by presenting eclectic collections gathered from a universe of gifted visual, literary or performing artists.
Depuis sa constitution officielle, en 1980 au siège de l’UNESCO à Paris, l'Association Internationale pour la Sauvegarde de Tyr mène sans relâche une campagne d'information à travers le monde afin de sensibiliser les hautes instances et l'opinion publique à l'enjeu considérable que constitue pour l'Humanité la sauvegarde et la réhabilitation de Tyr.
The Arab Image Foundation (AIF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation and study of photography and other related visual material from the Middle East, North Africa and the Arab diaspora. Established in Beirut in 1997, the Foundation holds a collection of more than 600,000 photographs dating from the mid-19th century to the present day. To date, the Foundation has produced fifteen exhibitions and eight publications in partnership with international museums, galleries and cultural institutions. The collection has also proved an invaluable resource for artists’ projects, curatorial initiatives and academic research.
The Lebanese Association for Plastic Arts
The Association for the Protection of the Lebanese Heritage, is an initiative launched by young Lebanese artists/intellectuals back in march 2010 on Facebook under the name ‘stop destroying your heritage!’, created by Pascale Ingea. Beirut Art Center (BAC) is a non-profit association, space and platform dedicated to contemporary art in Lebanon.
Beirut Exhibition Center’s mission is to promote and develop greater recognition and appreciation of contemporary art throughout Beirut and the region. Beirut Exhibition Center is a non-profit space that provides a collaborative environment for art museums, galleries, artist collectives and cultural institutions.
The Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service aims to develop a culture of service and civic leadership within the AUB community and provide opportunities for AUB students, faculty, and staff from all backgrounds to study and respond to social and civic issues of critical importance to the Lebanese people and the Middle East. The center identifies, integrates and supports various university-wide community initiatives, thus upholding AUB's mission of service towards its community.
Human and Urban is a newly launched cultural association composed mainly of university professors and researchers in the fields of Social and Human Sciences. The main objective is to organize and facilitate the coming together of scientific thought and cultural and artistic events in the city of Beirut, in order to give the full meaning to the mention of "Arts and Sciences."
