You are cordially invited to a public lecture entitled "FUNDAMENTALISTS AND OTHER ARAB MODERNISMS" by George Arbid and Bernard Khoury on Wednesday, 4th of March at 18:30 in the 'Grande Salle' of the department of Architecture of the Lebanese University in Furn El Chebbak, Beirut.

The architects will present the Arab Center for Architecture and the efforts at documenting modern architecture in Lebanon and the Arab world. Arbid and Khoury will also discuss the Pavilion of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2014 that they co-curated, and the book edited for the occasion Architecture from the Arab world (1914-2014) a Selection.

George Arbid, Architect, is Associate Professor at the American University of Beirut and Director of the Arab Center for Architecture. He has lectured widely about modern architecture In Lebanon.

Bernard Khoury, Architect, has developed an international reputation and a significant portfolio of projects both locally and abroad. His firm, DW5, has been extensively published by the professional press.
