Beyond a Snap Competition Results

The Beyond a Snap photography competition results were announced at the Beirut Souks on May the 28th, 2011.

Details about the competition:
Skoun, Lebanese Addiction Center invited participants to share THEIR perception of Life, Health and Hope. Selected work was exhibited alongside the International World Press Photo exhibition which will took place between May 11th till June 1st at Beirut Souks. The WPP exhibition was organized by the Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design at NDU, under the patronage of the Royal Netherlands Embassy, in collaboratin with Solidere.
Anyone between the ages of 15 to 30 years old was eligible to participate. All students were welcome to submit. The deadline for submissions was April 15, 2011. Notifications were sent on May 2, 2011 and the winners were announced at the Beirut souks on May 28, 2011.
Theme: You, the youth of Lebanon, see life, health, and hope from a unique perspective. In portraying these three words photographically, you present to your audience what you perceive the world around you to be: how you interact with life, how you experience health, and how you perceive hope. We invite you to submit photographs that relate to these three themes, which are the cornerstones of the work of the NGO Skoun.
We are glad to bring you the wining photos which were as follows:
First Category (15 to 22 years old)
1- Patrick Mouzawak with "Gazing at the sea" and "Kids with cancer"
2- Yasmina Rasamny with "Looking forward for happiness at any age"
3- Dory Younes with "The playground"
Second Category (23 to 30 years old)
1- Sandra Fayad with "Chef Zeina" and "Teacher Mona"
2- Sarah Yassine with "Iraq: 172 kilometers"
